Reflection of Addiction...

Hope is When:

You realize there is a second chance.

Prayers are answer when you least expect it.

You don't give up when you fail.

Realize that you do have something to be grateful for.

You make it through the day and you didn't think you would.

You can start a new day with out looking back.

Realize that there are people holding your hand.

Our heart says yes but your mind says no.

Your love one calls and you haven't spoken to them in a long time.

There is nothing left and the miracle happens.

You you look up and realize your not alone.

A shining light even when I feel the clouds.

I think about Hope a lot. Mainly because we all talk about it quite often. Many times for us it's all we have left and even some say they don't have any left. When I dig into my psyche deep enough I see that my hope is actually the expectation of some outcome I want. But is that all it is?

I believe it is! My Hope also comes from my belief of something bigger than me. For me this is God. Most of us through life's struggles reach out, pray and Hope that He will answer our prayers. But is Hope even more than this?

As humans I think Hope is something that buried deep within our being. Our lives are based around this 4 letter word. Even if we never had to deal with the issues that we have today, we would still dwell in Hope. So can I really lose hope?

Through this journey we all are left with the feelings of being defeated and our lives crumbling before our eyes at any given point. One thing I always try to remember is that this is only a point in time. Life is made up of ebb and flow. So is Hope! Some days we feel it very strongly and some days we feel as though we can't find it. We also have to manage our expectations. This is the number one reason I feel that I'm losing Hope because I've based it on that so many times.

I look at Hope as always being there because as long as they're/we're breathing, there is Hope.

Just remember to always tell them you love them and always show compassion. But don't enable and don't give up...the miracle could happen any moment.

Inside of us is Hope. Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air, but only for one second with Hope.
